Online bingo adverts are now all over our small screens and some of the whole point of the commercials is brand recognition. Operators want you to see their advert and then next time you login to your PC, visit their site. As with any form of advertising it’s about making their bingo site name stick in your head. Now one such brand that has managed this is Cheeky Bingo and whilst some viewers may have found their mascot and her incessant repetition of the word ‘Cheeky’ more than a little tedious, others, well namely one person, has gone to the trouble to edit the advert to a TEN MINUTE long clip!
You only have to take a look around the internet to see that not all viewers where enraptured with the Cheeky Bingo adverts, one Bill Oddie even had this to say about the commercials:
I did once consider luring the creators of the cheeky bingo adverts to India and outsourcing their demise to some shady backstreet characters. Instead I opted to stop watching the Jeremy Kyle show, thus avoiding the awful adverts.
Another taken from the My Sun forum has this to say
To start with i only see this on my day off, and i don’t think it’s a proper ad, but that bloody CHEEKY CHEEKY BINGO xxxx that sponsers jeremy kyle. HATE IT! it makes me angry for some reason. can anybody explain this
It’s quite humourous really that both parties make reference to the commercial bumpers during the Jeremy Kyle show, someone many viewers find rather patronising and even a little irritating!
