UK TV Bingo Adverts: September 2008 Archives

Laying in bed last night watching TV I saw for the first time the Ladbrokes Bingo new advert and I wasn't overly impressed. The whole thing had the whole wobbly cam feel to it; you know the thing I mean when someone is videoing something and moving at the same time, makes you feel quite queasy.

Watching Saturday night television I was surprised to see that Wink Bingo are now sponsoring All Star Family Fortunes. It's quite unusual to see an online bingo site sponsoring a Saturday night programme on ITV and my first thought was "that must have cost them quite a bit". I for one am getting used to seeing all the online bingo adverts on our screens but to see Wink Bingo sponsoring All Star Family Fortunes even caught me out.

Another hunt through You Tube bought me to a Purely Bingo online advert and this one is a bit of a doozy.  It's all of ten seconds long and has no "cheesy songs" nor any "gimmicks" it's just Purely Bingo. For me though I like the cheesy songs, I like the gimmicks and the Purely Bingo advert, although informative, lacks what any advert needs.

How naff is this newest addition to advertising online bingo on our television screens? The advert for Coffee Break Bingo from Mail Bingo is probably the worst I have seen to date. Naff graphics and settings with an even naffer voiceover makes this probably the worse advert for online bingo EVER!

Yet another online bingo site has now launched it's television campaign and this time it's Tombola Bingo. What's most interesting about Tombola Bingo on TV is their use of a Spanish song as the background music throughout the animated advert. The song is one by Maria Isobel Lopez and the title is La vida es una Tombola which means Life is a raffle.

Is it me or is there something strange about a Bingo TV advert talking about a better class of bingo?  It is a strange strategy to base your TV creative on the Joanna Lumley advert for car insurance "You don't have to be posh to be priveleged".  TheDailyMailBingo Tv advert which seems to be also promoting Coffeebreakbingo is confused about its target audience.

Yet another online bingo site has joined the growing numbers of bingo buisnesses to take to our television screens; this time its the turn of bet365 Bingo. As always for me it has to live up to the great Foxmeister and the Foxy Bingo television marketing campaign so how does the bet365 Bingo TV advert compare to that of Foxy Bingo? Does the bet365 Bingo have a funky character or even funkier music than Foxy Bingo or is it just another voiceover campaign to hit our screens?
