Wink Bingo Mini game rescheduled
The Wink Bingo Mini game has been rescheduled due to "technical difficulties" according to their online bingo site, the game will now be taking place on Sunday, January 10th at 9pm. Details in the New Year Mini room state the "due to an overwhelming demand" their bingo system was overloaded and the scheduled game did not play. Now whilst we understand that this can happen, surely the sale of tickets should have stopped!
Although there are currently 36402 players in the game and it wasn't much less than this on the day the game was meant to play at Wink Bingo, they are still selling tickets for the game. What's to say that there won't be further technical issues and another re-scheduling from Wink Bingo?
I believe, and this is merely my opinion, that when the technical issues arose, sales of bingo tickets for the game should have ceased. The players who all had their tickets all now see their chances of winning diminishing as even more players buy tickets for the game. A sweetener was offered to the players who had tickets in the game prior to the time it should have played, one extra ticket each for free. However, what happens for a player who had already purchased the maximum amount of tickets - 48 at £5 each? Did they get a £5 refund?
Maybe I'm just an old cynic but to my mind technical issues because of overwhelming demand, well surely with even MORE players now, won't the same issues arise again on 10th January?
Maybe not, after all, the value of the car may have been made up in the sale of online bingo tickets at Wink Bingo by then. Now whilst the maths of 36k x £5 totals £180,000 - more than enough to cover the cost of a Mini Cooper - it is common knowledge that many online bingo players received 5 free bingo cards in the post - not to mention the option to earn free tickets into the game by collecting bingo points. How many of the 36,402 tickets where actually bought and paid for - how many where freebies?
