Gala Coral group testing a rival software

The Gala Coral groups own online bingo site uses one of the most advances proprietary software systems around offering many features not seen on any other bingo sites. This software has taken years of development and a great deal in terms of financial investment to ensure the quality of the gaming experience for their players.

The online bingo market has changed a great deal since Gala Bingo was launched two years ago. Originally their online bingo site dominated the UK market and was the most successful bingo site in the industry. This success had continued to grow as the popularity of online bingo sky rocketed over the past two years into an industry worth over £600 million.

Since then though the number of rival sites competing for a share of this market has increased dramatically and several big names have become really popular. Sites such as Foxy Bingo, Wink Bingo and 888ladies bingo have all taken massive chunks of the market and put huge pressure on the Gala Coral group to offer features and games not found anywhere else, all of which takes further investment.

This situation was made increasingly worse due to the credit crunch which hard in 2008 and saw the Gala Coral group with an extremely large debt resulting them having to scale down their traditional land based bingo hall business. All of this has left a sour taste in the mouth of the Gala Coral group and left them unwilling to risk further investment.

Minxy Bingo has really been launched a test bed for the company to assess how profitable a third party software provider can be compared to using their own software. If this new partnership can be proven to be profitable we may see the Gala Coral group switching over their flagship Gala Bingo site to the Virtue Fusion software too.
