Compare The Meerkat

Now I must admit the advert is very funny and well thought out and they have even gone to the expense of setting up a fully working meerkat comparison site at www.comparethemeerkat.com. I had a great time filling in my requirements several times and learning all about the diverse range of meerkats available; such cute characters as:

Scubakat who "Likes to get fur wet. Scubakat can hold breath for over nine minute and knows way round an underwater ocean liner. Hunts sea-snakes with harpoon gun. This meerkat gets kicks in sweaty proto-punk venues in gloomy backstreets of Berlin. Often found pogoing in mosh pit shouting 'Das ist gut rock!'"

and

Partykat who is a "24-hour party animal. If there's a dance club having a massive dance party, Partykat is surely going to be there with glow sticks, disco pants and spirit of sexiness. This meerkat can often be found on Miami Beach perfecting squat thrust technique or discussing sunglasses straps with training partner."

I could go on and tell you about the rest of the gang but to be honest the fun wears off very quickly when you keep on been redirected to the Compare the Market website.

I did wonder where the inspiration for this campaign came from, I mean a suave purple suited mammal is such a great idea you would have thought someone would have come up with it befor..........oh hold on Foxy Bingo did didn't they. There is only room on our screens for one furry gent and that is the original and still the best, our old friend Foxy!
