The show centres around a Las Vegas style slot machine - a huge contraption with 5 reels. There are in essence 6 contestants; one who is the spin star and the other 5 who have to answer questions in order to spin the wheel and increase the prize money for the spin star.

Why are the 5 contestants so keen to spin in big wins for the spin star? Well on this game show all of the other contestants will each get a chance throughout the week to be the ITV Spin Star and take home the money spun in by the other contestants.
