Bingo Newsletters
You would think that an online bingo site would at least run their bingo newsletter through a spell checker even if the writer isn't the most articulate of people because after all it is going out to the member base and the whole point is to entice people to the site.
If an online bingo site sends out a bingo newsletter with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors throughout what kind of impression and message is that sending out?
Well I thought I would share with you some snippets of the latest bingo newsletter from Purely Bingo - spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in bold:-
"if your (you're) a VIP you recieve (receive) extra reload bonus"
"So if your (you're) lucky enough to be a lovely VIP (10,000 Plus Points)"
"You can now apply for (an) extra bonus once a month"
"Your account must of (have) been funded with at least £25 in the last 28 days of the loyaly (loyalty) (1st of each month) cut of (off) date."
"If your loyalty figur (figure) is 10099 you will receive (receive) 10pps not 11pps as this will go on your 1st two digits. (min 10pp's max 100pp's)"
"We will not accept cllaims (claims) via support tickets"
"about the friendly community spirit and to highten (heighten) "
"Halloween promotion like all the other site (sites) "
"through a seperate (separate) section"
"All proceeeds (proceeds) for this raffle"
"I hope i (I) can rely on all our"
Am I being too picky in my expectations of a bingo newsletter? It's about the layout and content and I really don't want to spend my time trying to decipher the content into something that resembles proper English!
