Online Bingo set to grow
The article is peppered with quotes and figures from some big names in the industry and covers most angles of where the growth could be set to take place.
The chief executive of Virtue Fusion (behind sites like Crown Bingo, Ladbrokes Bingo, Bet365 Bingo etc), Al Haig is quoted as saying "the areas that hold opportunities for growth over the next 1-3 years include Europe and then further ahead in 5-8 years will be South America and Asia.
Another quote comes from the chairman of Global Betting and Gaming Consultants, Warwick Bartlett who says "In our estimations by 2012 25% of the global betting market will be accounted for by online bingo."
Online bingo first came to the World Wide Web back in 1995 in the US and its growth is attributed to broadband internet becoming more widely available. Cashcade Ltd, the owners of some of the biggest names in the bingo industry as we know, Foxy Bingo and Think Bingo, are quoted as saying that "Bingo players tend to be female, aged 25 to 50 with a high school education".
It will be interesting to see over the next few years where the online bingo market takes us don't you think?
