Foxy Bingo wins two awards at the 3rd Annual Bingo Summit
Sat at the same table as me was Juan from Que Bingo, the Spanish sister site of Which Bingo, David Lloyd from Playing Bingo, Wayne Howe from Free Bingo, Ben Thorns from Bingo Hideout, another chap from Which Bingo whose name eludes me because the wine had flown so freely, and Steve from Which Bingo. We ate, drank and were merry as a group and then the award ceremony began.
Two of the awards were won by Foxy Bingo - Best Marketing Campaign 2008 and Best Online Bingo Operator 2008 - which I for one was not shocked to see them win and must admit that I did *whoop* a tad with delight although I did refrain from using my Ricky Lake audience call with *Go Foxy Go Foxy* but simply because I felt I should show some decorum!
What is interesting about these awards is that the people who vote in each category are people in the industry, me included. All the delegates that attended the conference had a voting card with each of the categories and the finalists in each category - each delegate could only vote once so this really does mean something to all of the winners in all categories simply because it's their peers voting for them.
The five finalists for the Best Online Bingo Operator 2008 (Branded or Customer Facing) were
- The Sun Bingo
- Gala Bingo
- Foxy Bingo (WINNER!!!!)
- Jackpot Joy
- Ladbrokes Bingo
In my excitement I didn't take note of the five finalists for the Best Marketing Campaign 2008 but will update you later as to who they were - I was sure Foxy Bingo would win it simply because I feel that their campaign is the best!
More on the awards over the next couple of days but for now here is a picture of Simon Collins and Spencer Davis of Foxy Bingo looking rather pleased with their awards.
