Bingo Night Live - Player participation

It's 12.01 pm, Friday 6th June 2008 and I'm sat at my PC with the TV tuned into ITV1 waiting for the next game of Bingo Night Live. At last I've managed to actually get some tickets for the game and am currently waiting for Police, Camera, Action to finish to take a look at the actual game that has been receiving so much coverage online.

Personally I don't have that much interest other than from a bingo perspective, after last nights fiasco I'd much rather be tucked up in my bed snuggling with the hubby.

I was a little wiser in comparison with last night when trying to get my tickets online; I got them way before the game started, some 45 minutes prior.

When you do get your tickets in advance you will be shown the screen below:

The show starts - telling us that last night they had 97 winners! I wasn't one of them, although not having access to my cards I couldn't be 100% sure! 15,467 played Bingo Night Live on launch night!

Once you have managed to register an account you will need to login daily to grab your free bingo cards, they will then appear on your screen (allowing for technical issues) and you can even print them out.

These are my cards for Thursday 5th June:

  • 1st price £100
  • 2nd price £200
  • 3rd prize £1000

Call in 32 numbers or less and win £26,000

Some statistics before the game started:

  • 149 people in Bristol
  • 10 people in Northern Ireland
  • 89 people in Newcastle
  • 94 people in Southampton

In total at the beginning of the programme there were 14,140 people paying.

Horoscopes where provided by Russell Grant during the programme so I was keen to listen to the Aquarian horoscope but it wasn't mentioned on tonight's show.

Game on!

Orange Game

  • 1 line -winning call on 33 - Lyn from Stoke on Trent
  • 2 lines - winning call on 73  - 3 winners - Steven from Leicestershire, Gary from Nottinghamshire and Victoria from Wakefield
  • Full House - winning call on 32 - Tracy in Nuneaton
  • Magic number I3 - 64 winners take home £5

If you have the magic number on your ticket then you have to call a number, a player will then be chosen at random to play Minute to Win it which is basically a quiz where you have to answer as many questions as possible to win money,

    18,128 people playing at 12.34pm

The random player was Mandy from Staffordshire who is a Pisces.

Mandy had to pick a number from a 3 x 3 grid, and then had to answer a question. The whole idea was to reveal the celeb behind the panel and the least squares revealed means a bigger prize. Not to show off but I knew it was Michael Parkinson when the first picture was revealed.

    Green Game

    • 1 line - winning call on number 3 - Louise in Hove
    • 2 lines - winning call on number 41 - Susan in Morecombe
    • Full house - winning call on number 45 - Paul in Sidcup

    Magic number - I19

    Blue Game

    • 1 line - winning call on number 54 - Jill in Manchester
    • 2 lines - winning call on number 56 - Ange in Derbyshire
    • Full house -  winning call on number 79 - Samantha in Halesham and Olwen in Middlesborough

In all honesty I found the whole programme a bit too much like the stupid Quiz Call programmes that show on ITV, the only difference being you don't have to pay extortionate prices to take part.

Just so you can see how I did throughout the programme here is my ticket that I printed off after I have played the games....

I will, if I remember, login daily to get my Bingo Night Live tickets but only because it is free - had I had to pay to play, I honestly wouldn't be rushing back.
