Sun Bingo review

Before I start the review can I just say for any male online bingo players reading this there are no page three girls on show anywhere across their online bingo site so if you are looking for half naked woman you won't find them at Sun Bingo. Although being another online bingo site which originally started with the newspaper bingo games I can see why it could be expected.

The Sun Bingo uses the same software as News of The World Bingo, not surprising really as they are part of the same group so if you hold an account at one you will not be able to open an account with the same details as used on the other. This also means that you will only be entitled to the £10 free when you deposit £10 at one of the sites, not both.

Registration to Sun Bingo requires completion of a bingo industry standard form that asks for your name, address, home telephone number etc. When you have completed this you are ready to play bingo.

When you login to your account for the first time you will see to the right of your screen a list of games available.

  • Bingo 90
  • Bingo 80
  • Bingo 75
  • Cinco
  • Hamster Race
  • Battleships

Simply choose the type of game you wish to play and away you go. If you choose 90 ball bingo then you will be taken to yet another lobby providing you with a choice of rooms to play in.

  • Mosaic Club
  • Harlequin Club
  • Spectrum Club
  • Kaleidoscope Club
  • Rainbow Club

Not only do you need to choose which room name you want to play in but also which colour room and whether you want chat available as well - decisions, decisions!

Buying tickets leads to yet more decisions, you can buy 1 ticket for 10p, 2 tickets for 20p, 3 tickets for 30p, 4 tickets for 40p, 5 for 50p, two strips for £1, 3 strips for £1.50 or 4 strips (maximum purchase) for £2. The game prices don't change at all, even for the Link games.

The big Link games play every 5 games where all players in all rooms are playing for the same prize. Usual games are that you are just playing against the players in your room.

With all the other type games you will be taken straight into a room, no need to pick one to play in.

80 ball bingo at Sun Bingo gives you the option to buy just four boards and the price is always 25p per board. You then play for a horizontal line prize and then for a full house. This game is played at land bingo halls like Gala Bingo and Mecca Bingo and is also known as Shutterboard or Cashline.

75 ball bingo is played the same as all other online bingo sites; you play for a predetermined pattern. Card prices are 10p one ticket, 20p two tickets, 25p three tickets, 50p six tickets, nine tickets are 75p and twelve tickets are £1.

Then you have the games Cinco, Hamster Races and Battleships, two of which I have written about here previously so click the links below to read the previous articles:-

Cinco at Sun Bingo
Battleships at Sun Bingo

The Hamster Races at Sun Bingo really remind of the old style pier games when you had to bet on which horse was going to romp home first. The game really is just like horse racing, place a bet on the hamster you think will win and away you go, it's that simple.

To my knowledge there are only two online bingo sites that use this software platform and that's Sun Bingo and News of The World Bingo so it truly is a unique experience playing at the Sun Bingo.
