Rank's 'G' Spot blocked by Gala
Trademark war has been declared between Rank and Gala despite the fact that the main industry players have been working more closely together to lobby government for key concessions.
Rank have launched a chain of casinos simply called 'G' and is thought to be trying to register the logo "G" as a mark. Gala have previosuly registered 'G' as it trademark and is stopping Rank continuing with it's application.
Gala, who run Gala Bingo, and Rank who own Mecca Bingo show little signs as yet of being able to reach a compromise.
