I read today that online bingo operators may be forced to contribute towards the cost of gambling awareness and help groups.

Andy Burnham, the governments Culture Secretary is set to bring in new rules which will force gaming operators to contribute to organisations like GamCare.

This will ultimately affect online bingo operators. According to statistics though online bingo is one of the least affected gaming sectors when it comes to problem gambling.

Currently it is estimated that only 380 gaming concerns pay voluntarily into the Gambling Trust, thats a mere 10% of the 3,800 gambling companies in the UK.
