So, was it as bad as I thought it was going to be? Simple answer, no - to be honest, even as a smoker it was a more pleasant experience.

My husband doesnt smoke and has always complained about the smell, even when I once relented and sat in the non- smoking section so for him it was a far more enjoyable evening.

The club I attended, Gala Bingo, Poole had made provisions for the smokers by way of a heated shelter outside the front door

Not only did they provide a shelter, but also a small supply of umbrellas!
