The unnamed winner, who is reportedly aged 41 and works as a carer in her local area, walked away £45,000 better off after completing a full house in just 39 calls.

Like thousands of other bingo-lovers from across the UK, the lucky woman has been playing the game of bingo at her local Mecca Bingo Club for a number of years and she told the National Bingo website that she plans to fund some home improvements and a holiday with her winnings.

"The reaction in the bigno club was fantastic and everyone was clapping me," she is quoted as saying.

"I just sat there in a state of shock."

Earlier this month, a 75-year-old bingo player from Hartlepool scooped a £17,500 UK bingo jackpot and paid tribute to the good nature of the players and staff at her local bingo club.
