Bingo Caller Charles Clarke

The MP jovially called the bingo numbers at MeccaBingo Charles Clarke was raising awerness for the fact that Bingo Halls in the UK pay more tax than betting shops and casinos. 

The former minister in Blair's cabinet, was calling the numbers at a Mecca Bingo club on All Saints Green, Norwich, he took the time to speak to bingo players and heard about the tax which is hurting UK bingo halls.

While casinos and betting shops pay 15% gross profit tax to the Treasury, bingo halls are also charged VAT at 17.5%, which Mecca Bingo claims is an unfair advantage.
