Paddy Power Bingo Boob
Paddy Power Bingo are dumbfounded by the decision to ban their Man Breast Advert.
"We are completely astonished by the reaction of the London Underground to our advert," said a spokesman for Paddy Power Bingo.
London Underground has banned an ad by Irish Bingo Operator Paddy Power on the grounds the man boob advert had the 'potential to offend public decency'.
The advert, promoting paddypowerbingo.com, features a man sitting alone on his sofa whilst appearing to breastfeed a baby, with the strapline "Where have all the women gone?"
Paddy Power are no strangers to controversy when it comes to advertising just in 2005, it had another advert banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) depicted the classic Christian image of "The Last Supper" as a casino table.
Further back in 2001, the ASA banned an ad that featured two old grannies crossing the road, with cars approaching, which had odds over their heads.
So we would speculate that this most recent ban was perhaps intentional. Either way PaddyPower Bingo is trying its best to inject a bit of comedy into this new space.
