Gala Bingo Ticket Purchased With Borrowed Money

| | Comments (0)

Amy Ramsdale, a 20-year-old student nurse from Wigan, convinced her mum to go to the local Gala Bingo club with her, reports National Bingo. But her mum had to buy the tickets, as Amy admits she had no money to pay for entry herself "I begged my mum to go to bingo that night but she had to pay for me because I didn't have any money," she tells the game's operating body.

That soon changed as Amy hit the UK bingo jackpot, securing a total of £45,000 - which she is to share equally with her mum.

"I burst into tears when I realised how much I had won," she continues - adding that it was "so nice" to be congratulated by fellow members of the club.

Gala Bingo members in Wigan have now shared more than £400,000 in UK bingo jackpots, according to figures from the game operator.
