Gala Bingo Scunthorpe
Since 1996, one 72-year-old Scunthonian woman has played at the local Gala Bingo hall once a week, reports National Bingo her regular attendance paid off on Sunday December 2nd, as she scooped the UK bingo jackpot of £17,500.
The news was welcomed by her husband - who was by her side when she shouted "Bingo" as her numbers came up.
Her four children and four grandchildren may well find they have a little extra in their stockings on Christmas morning thanks to this bingo win.
But this is not for certain - as the winner tells National Bingo she has not yet decided what to do with the bingo money.
This is not the first time the UK bingo jackpot has been claimed by members of the Scunthorpe branch of Gala Bingo.
In February and again in May, members of the bingo club took the £100,000 national jackpot, according to figures from bingo's operating body.
