Gala Bingo Online actually raised profits but worried that Smoking ban and Tax could hit Bingo growth.

GalaBingo Online is a privately held online Bingo group which also has many offline bingo clubs. Government Bingo changes and charges could hit them hard in 2008 despite 2007 stellar results, changes such as the loss of Section 21 gaming machines and steep increases in VAT duty for Bingo.

Probably the most interesting news for GalaBingoOnline Shareholders concerns Gala's plans for China and Asia. Online Gala Bingo has just secured a licence from the Chinese province of Hebei to open what will be a Chinise bingo club. Chinese gamble with both hands so no doubt this new avenue will be a very successful one for Gala Online. The Chinese are quite superstisious so they will no doubt be enamoured by the numbers involved in Gala Bingo games.
