Student Nurse wins big at Bingo!

Amy Ramsdale, 20 and a student nurse bagged herself £45,000 at Gala Bingo Club in Robin Park by playing a hunch. Usually Amy plays bingo on a Sunday with her mum Jean but decide she would play on a Wednesday as she couldn't shake a "lucky feeling".

After winning £300 she knew she had made the right decision but her luck hadn't run out yet. She had an agonising wait to see if she had won the national prize at 8.30pm. When the winners weren't announced after 10 minutes she made the assumption it had been won by another club. This wasn't the case. Amy had scooped £45,000 and promptly burst into tears!

Amy's mum, Jean, is feeling the luck too as Amy has split the big prize with her. Amy has earmarked her winnings for a deposit on a house and a holiday to Florida with her boyfriend, Mike Linaker.

Amy said "This is a life-changing win for me. It would have taken me absolutely ages to get on the housing ladder otherwise."
